U13 Boys Football

A very well done to all of the boys who took part in this tournament wining two games and only losing to the overall winners (prompting one of the organisers to say it was a shame the two top teams were in the same group!).

The first game was against expected winners Musselburgh. As it turned out the Lasswade boys had an oddly unenthusiastic Musselburgh side at a 3 goal advantage (from Greg Allan and Dean Robertson) before the opposition got 2 back for a tense last couple of minutes.

The second game was a disappointing run out against eventual group winners St Thomas. The Lasswade boys struggled to turn early dominance into goals before eventually slumping to a costly 3 – nil.

The last game against Broughton B really showed what the team could do with the boys scoring goals for fun with Ryan Ferguson scoring 2, Ross Hogan getting his first for the school and Ryan Henderson getting two (to make him now top scorer for S1 with 9 overall).

A good morning was capped by a training session with some professional footballers.
