This has been a great year for the Charities Committee at Lasswade with well over £7,500 raised so far. The Charities committee is made up of 24 Sixth Year pupils 21 girls and 3 boys. Over the year the have staged a wide variety of events to raise money for good causes. ‘Wear it Pink’ raised £2,500 for Breast Cancer. St Andrew’s Day was celebrated in style with a tartan theme. A joint Talent Show with the Enterprise Group was a great success. Heartstart benefited from a ‘Wear Red’ Day. A Charity Sleepover was held in the school (although the staff involved were not sure ‘sleepover’ was the correct word). These along with other events made for a very successful year.

The Charities Committee would like to thank everyone for helping make this a fantastic year.
