From www.lasswade.info News Letter 18 June 2007 Dear Parent,
I write to give you details about the arrangements for the end of session.
Arrangements for the Last Week of the Session This school session runs until Friday 29 and will finish at lunchtime that day. School Dinners will be served from 11.40 a.m. approximately and the buses will be available thereafter. There will be no Head Teacher’s Surgery on Monday 25 June. The arrangements for the suspended timetable activities have been circulated from each organising teacher. Any money still outstanding should be paid to school immediately. If your son/daughter is not involved he/she should report to school as normal where lessons will continue with a revised timetable involving staff in school.
Arrangements for the Start of Next Session The new session will start for pupils on Wednesday 22 August at the normal time of 08.45 for 08.50 a.m registration.
Senior Prizegiving The Senior Prizegiving for students in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Years of session 2006/7 will take place on the evening of Monday 10 September.
Adult Learning Open Day
SQA Examinations 2007I have been advised that the results from this session’s SQA examinations are expected to arrive at candidates’ homes on Tuesday 7 August. The diet of formal Standard Grade examinations for Fourth Year students next session will take place between 2 May and 26 May 2006. Intermediate, Higher and Advanced Higher examinations for Fifth and Sixth Year students next session will take place between 12 May and 9 June 2006. We do not have the detailed timetable yet but, as these exams are so important, I felt that this information would be useful for planning and preparation.
School LunchesDue to a refurbishment work taking place in the school cafeteria starting on Tuesday 26 June a limited cold food menu will be available. This work would normally be scheduled to start during the holiday but with the majority of the school taking part in the suspended timetable it was felt an earl start would be possible.
I hope that you and your family will have a good summer holiday this year.
Yours sincerely,
Albert Jaster
